Loretta Mae Marvon Warren, 84, of 1980 Ridge Road, Gettysburg, passed into God’s eternal care on Tuesday, Oct. 30, 2007 at the York Hospital. She was the widow of the late James G. Warren of Gettysburg, who died in 1979.

Loretta was born on April 13, 1923 in Biglerville and was the daughter of the late Rudolph and Carrie Arnold. She was a member of St. Francis Xavier Church. Loretta graduated from Biglerville High School in 1942.

She worked in the sewing and restaurant industry for most of her life and then retired from WalMart after 14 years of service. Loretta was a former member of Eagles Aerie 1562, the American Legion 202, Veterans of Foreign Wars and the Loyal Order of Moose of Gettysburg.

Loretta was pre-deceased by a son, Timothy A. Marvon, who died in 1977. She was also pre-deceased by brothers, Dale Arnold and Fred Arnold; and a sister, Mary Arnold Funt.

Loretta is survived by a son, Gregory L. Marvon and his wife Sharon Heiser Marvon. She is survived by one granddaughter, Michelle R. Marvon of Gettysburg. She also is survived by a grandson, Gregory J. Marvon and his wife Heather L., and one great-granddaughter, Lauren R. Marvon of West Chester. Loretta also is survived by one sister, Bernice Brechbill of Gettysburg and one brother, Harold Arnold of Shippensburg. She is also survived by a number of nieces and nephews.
