House Rules
In Accordance with the "By Laws", under the direction of the Aerie, through membership
participation in the meetings, the Board of Trustees have adopted the following House Rule.
1. The Aerie reserves the right to refuse anyone admittance to the Social Quarters.
2. Visitors from other Aeries' will be permitted entrance to the Buffet and Social Quarters upon presentation of their official receipt that they are a member in good standing, provided they are in good standing with this Aerie. Individuals who were rejected for membership by majority vote of the members in secret ballot are not considered to be in good standing with this Aerie.
3. An Aerie and/or Auxiliary member is permitted to sign in two guest per visit. Anyone sponsoring a guest will be responsible for that guest and the actions of that guest. No guest may remain after the member who sponsored him or her leaves the quarters. The exception to this is a spouse or a female companion of an Aerie member is exempt from the two visit rule.
4. All guest over 21 must be signed in the guest book. All guest must wear a visitors tag at all times. The exception to this is a guest who is attending a catered event as specified in rule # 5, need not be signed into the guest book. An employee and or officer of the Aerie may sign in more than two guest at one time with prior approval from the Trustee's.
5. No guest may visit more than twice, except the spouse or female companion of an Aerie member. Guest may not purchase alcohol, except guest over 21 may purchase alcohol when attending a scheduled (catered) event: An example of this is Pool, Dart, or Shuffleboard league, special dinners, or an affair in which the Banquet Hall is rented for special or private functions. The two-visit does not apply to guest attending and are actually part of these special functions. Any member bringing in the same guest more than two times may be subject to suspension, except as noted in rule #6.
6. Any Guest outside of a 50 mile radius may be exempt from the two visit rule with special permission from the Trustees of the Aerie.
7. All members must have their official dues receipt with the to be admitted in the Aerie. Members with a delinquent dues receipt card will not be permitted in the Aerie, except to pay their dues. Prior members of the Aerie and Auxiliary who have been dropped from the membership, may not enter the Social Quarters except to fill out a "re-enrollment" application, they must then leave the Aerie until they have received notification that they have been accepted to membership and their official receipt card is ready.
8. The Aerie shall maintain a strict "no check cashing policy" except for exact payment of dues.
9. No one under the age of 21 will be permitted in the Aerie unless they are the spouse of a member in good standing, or are attending an approved function for younger individuals. Spouses under 21 may not be seated at the Bar, but rather must be seated at the tables or in the Banquet Room with their other spouse who is a member.
10. Individuals under 21 who are attending an approved function for younger individuals are not permitted to sit at the bar. These individuals must be actually accompanied and remain with their parent or guardian while in the Aerie. Special time restrictions also apply to individuals under 21 (other than spouses) and these restrictions will be posted separately.
11. Misconduct, including profane, loud, boisterous language, conduct unbecoming an Eagle or destruction of property will not be tolerated. Any individual who willfully destroys or misappropriates Aerie property shall be required to make full restitution.
12. All must vacate the Aerie within 30 minutes of last call. Anyone refusing to leave the Aerie upon request of the Steward, Manager, or Trustee, at any time will be in violation of the house rules and subject to disciplinary action by the Aerie.
13. The Club must supply food and beverages for the Banquet Hall.
14. Section 63.2(C), statutes, F.O.E., will be strictly enforced. Offenses against the laws of the order shall include, but not limited to, "Any conduct unbecoming an Eagle", any violation of the House or Aerie rules, or personal conduct likely to bring disgrace upon the Order.
15. Alcoholic beverages may not leave the Aerie. Gambling is permitted only in accordance with state and local law.
